A major consideration in this kind of thinking is what differences we can identify from the post resurrection appearances of Jesus. For example, the Bible makes it very clear that the resurrection body of Jesus had a physicality that allowed Him to eat in the presence of His disciples. In fact, He was at pains to make sure that they watched him eat a piece of fish. (Luke 24/35-43).
Yet the same Bible is equally determined to make us understand that His resurrection body had components that allowed Him to just appear in a locked room. (John 20/19,20). Does this means that His resurrection body was able to live and function in more than one realm or dimension? I think so but, either way, it’s a tantalising question.
If you have stayed in touch as I have walked through these sessions "Thinking About Heaven", I hope they haved provided enolugh insight to make the time spent worthwhile.
For my part, I have found a great deal of re-assurance. I leave these sessions with a great deal of peace The impact of my wife's death had done more 'damage' to my faith outlook than I had realised. These sessions have gone a long way to restoring that faith in my Lord.
Let the Apostle Paul have the final say.
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savour. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.
