  • A Thought For Today

    MAKING GOOD CHOICES  (1)

Today you will make dozens if not hundreds of choices. Those choices range from “What shoes will I wear today?” to “Shall I ask him/her to marry me?”

Over the next few days I want to alert you to a series of choices found in the teaching of Jesus; choices that have life and death implications.

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.  (Matthew 7:13-14 (NLT)

    The Choice Between Two Gates

    1. Narrow Gate – it requires some effort and you may be tempted to give up trying. Of the two options this narrow gate is the least appealing. Yet it is the only one that gives us access to God’s Kingdom.

    2. Wide Gate – this gate is huge and easy to enter; just flow with the crowd. The trouble here is that the majority is not always right.
