    Hello Sweetheart,

I have been thinking about this new year over the last few weeks and I realised that it was 51 years ago that we welcomed our second child, Philip John, into our family. You often reminded our wider family that Philip was born in the same year as Keith and you would get that cheeky twinkle in your eye as you looked at me to check my expression. As our other children grew older that story usually produced from them something like “What a stud!”

We had no way of knowing on that day of his birth that in just 4 short months we would have our first encounter with that greatest of all enemies – death. As I recall, love, neither of us had heard of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome up to that point but there have been countless references to it subsequently.

So, remembering his birthday today got me thinking (not surprisingly) about heaven again.

    • Will we be aware of other people in heaven?

    • Will we meet people we have known here?

    • Will heaven be like a “school re-union”?

    • If we know each other, what kind of knowledge will we have of each other? I

    • Have you met our Philip yet?  here

    • What is he like now? Still a tiny baby? Or has he grown into manhood.

Changing the subject completely, the Ghan train will be passing soon (if it’s on time) and I have been assured that there will be plenty of photo opportunities. For some reason that idea appealed to us and we disappeared

    But until then

You remain the love of my life

    Mike
