  • Our Journey Through The Valley (12)

    16 May, 2013

BEV:  As each day brings reminders of the activity of the disease and its relentless progress the verse that sits so close to me is 2 Cor 4:16. "...though outwardly we are wasting away....." In the RSV the word is translated "being disabled" and it is just like that!! " BUT "... inwardly we are being renewed day by day" and that is also what we are experiencing.

As Mike and I have wrestled this past week with "how to pray",  Eph 3: 14-21 jumped off the page for us.  Verse 16 says "I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,......." This verse links with Paul's reference to the inner man in 2 Cor.4 and explains how  what we are experiencing inwardly actually happens.  So we are finding the grace, strength and will to walk this walk. Just think: out of His glorious riches..... with power through His Spirit....... what more could we ask?
