Our Journey Through The Valley (18)
3 June, 2013
Today we travel up to Bathurst for 10 days R & R. Friends of ours have a lovely two bedroom cabin which they have made available to us for some "alone time" in the midst of this journey. Beautiful views across to the Blue Mountains as well as an abundance of wild life are just two of the attractions. Time to be quiet and reflect on where things are up to at this time in our lives is another opportunity that we welcome (the latest addition being this wretched disease).
Would you pray for us over this period (June 3 - 12) that we might meet with God and maybe (just maybe) He might shed more light on the purpose He has in mind since He is Lord over all our circumstances.
Our hearts were deeply moved and I (Mike) was quite 'choked up' by a phone call earlier this week letting us know that a team of ladies from the Bathurst Baptist Church had prepared all our lunch time meals and our evening meals for the whole 10 days! This is a very practical gift to us and especially to Bev because she has had the mealtime responsibility lifted off her shoulders. [For those who want to ask why my culinary skills aren't available....you have never eaten anything that I've cooked, have you?!!]
