  • Our Journey Through The Valley (27)

    28 June, 2013

In our last entry I referred to the fact that our faith "had taken a hit" when the Doctor told us that Bev's version of Motor Neurone Disease was the worst kind in terms of its outworking. Nonetheless we are fixed on the Lord. Job's test came through his wife when she told him to curse God and die. Job's response was simply, "Though He slays me, yet will I trust Him".

I continue to find Bev's confidence and faith to be inspirational. That is the word that many people use of Bev when they sum up their response to our circumstances. We know that there are many tough days ahead but we are committed to take each day as it comes.

I know that it easy to make promises to pray for others; promises that are meant at the time but the spiritual energy to fulfil those promises diminishes rather quickly. Yet we are both so aware that people must be praying for us because the sense of being upheld is amazing.
