  • Our Journey Through The Valley (59)

    17 December, 2013

Here is one of the emotional dynamics that are emerging as the journey continues. Those who use this journal as a basis of prayer for us might take particular note.

FRUSTRATION.  To no longer be able to do what we once did without thinking is very frustrating. To repeatedly drop things on the floor simply because our coordination is also diminishing is very frustrating.  These frustrating aspects also serve as daily (hourly?) reminders of the presence and activity of the disease. As we physically decline, it's hard to function as though nothing is wrong. It's also unreasonable and, (if you don't mind), somewhat stupid to pretend that all is well when it is painfully obvious that it is not.
