  • Our Journey Through The Valley (9)

    8 May, 2013

Bev:  One thing that Mike and I pray for each day is "Grace for the day".  We can't do anything about yesterday. It's gone and, like the manna in the wilderness, there are no left-overs of grace to be added to today's provision. We are also learning that tomorrow's grace won't be available until tomorrow!

Mike: We can see how that grace comes in many forms. A phone call. A text message. A greeting card. A personal visit. A bible verse or passage. A  personal prayer experience. Something else that has struck both of us is the way this disease is always in our face. Until the disease was named we had hardly heard of it. Since that impacting day we seem to hear about it or read about it from so many directions. It's a bit like this disease has its own publicity machine!!

We are pleased to report that there is still a lot of laughter in our house and in our hearts. In these early stages of this journey through the valley we can still make jokes in the midst of frustrations that the disease throws at us.
