  • The Antidote for Grace

    18 August, 2013

For many people, the idea of grace is just unacceptable. It is offensive to them. They consider this concept of grace to be outrageous because people should get what they deserve and not be forgiven by the grace of God.

So, rather than submit to this "grace" dynamic, they seek an antidote. There is only one antidote for grace and that is "Law". "Good people" are embarrassed by the idea of receiving something for nothing. Their determination is to be worthy of grace by living a life controlled by rules and regulations.  But the contradictory nature of their claims only serves to show us that there are two ways to get to heaven but only one of them works.

Grace is receiving what I don't deserve and not receiving what I do deserve. Those who would be "law-keepers" will only receive that which they feel they have earned by keeping of rules and regulations. The "grace receivers", on the other hand, know they are receiving what they don't deserve.

    It's just a thought.
