  • When God says "You must...." ( Part 11)

    27 January, 2014

I wonder if you have noticed that the person recounting this journey of Paul (Acts 27) was speaking in the first person?  "We" did this...  "We" did that....  There seems to be a general consensus among the people who ought to know that the author of these "log entries"  in the book of Acts was Luke.
To think that Paul was alone in this great endeavour of going to Rome to testify there concerning the Lord Jesus Christ would be incorrect.  God said, "You must....." But Paul was not travelling alone. There was at least one other companion who shared his convictions concerning the person and mission of Jesus.

    Thought for Today
I'm so glad that I am surrounded by fellow Christians in all the many dimensions of life. They are my companions on life's journey - some for the whole journey and some just for a short time.  God has put us in community so that we can be supported and encouraged on the journey. Take a moment to identify at least some of your companions and thank God for them.
