  • A Thought For Today

    8 July, 2014

    Exodus 3:2-3 (NLT)
There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”

I wonder how many times Moses walked past that bush (during the 40 years he spent as a shepherd) and didn’t give it a second look. Then what was it that caught and captured his attention that day?

Surely it was the fire in the bush! No, not necessarily. He had seen fire before. It was the fact that the fire did not destroy or consume the bush. An ordinary bush possessed by an extraordinary fire.

We are ordinary people but we are indwelt by the fire of God, the Holy Spirit. When He is allowed free flow, people will notice His activity.
