  • Living in Disneyland (1)

    19 May, 2013

Over the main gate in Disneyland, California, are written these words....

"Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy".

How many people do we know who live in the world of yesterday?  For some it is the world of regrets, a world of "if only" and "what if?".  For others it is the world of the "good old days", because their selective memory recalls only the good things. If only we could go back to the good old days.

But their respective worlds have this in common; nothing can be done to change the world of yesterday. To try and enter it is to become frustrated because change is not possible. Maybe that is why the Apostle Paul said that for him, he was forgetting the past (Phil.3/13)

Disneyland is a fun place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
