This morning Bev and I read about the Biblical character we know as "the rich young ruler". I was reminded of a Pastor friend of mine who preached on this subject and I've never been able to forget his outline (not that I've ever tried!).
a. He came to the right person - the Lord Jesus Christ
b. He came at the right time - while he was still young
c. He asked the right question - he asked about eternal life
d. He got the right answer - let God turn your heart towards heaven's riches, not worldly wealth
e. He made the wrong decision - he chose to stay possessed b y his possessions.
It's a thought worth thinking about
