• Today's "Moment With Mark" (14) - Confrontation

  Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!"  (Mark 1:23-24)

  
  This would have been one very different church service! Can you imagine the reaction in your church if this scenario played itself out in next Sunday morning's service?  A demonized man in full flight interrupting the order of service?!  What next?!

  
  "Have you come to destroy us?"  You can almost smell the fear in his voice. By the way, the answer to his  question is "YES!!" 1 John 3/8 says, "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work". The question posed by the demon from within the man echoed throughout the spirit realm and the domain of darkness. So does the answer!! "YES!!"

  
  "I know who you are - the Holy One of God!" Well, at least one person knew Jesus identity in Church that day. Seems a pity that it had to be someone from the opposition!
