  • Today's "Moment With Mark" (6) - Vulnerability

    18 November, 2012

"He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him".(Mark 1/13)

"Wild animals" - that gives me a picture of vulnerability.  The place of temptation is a dangerous place. Peter says that our adversary, the devil, goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Are you feeling vulnerable at the moment? Is this a moment or a season in which you are feeling particularly susceptible to temptation.

    Take heart!

"Angels attended Him". What do you make of that?  I don't know much about the ministry of angels but I do believe that they play some part in the events and circumstances of our lives. If not, what is the point of Psalm 91/11-13?

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

Notice what we can do to wild animals when we have divine assistance.
