  • What's So Important?

    11 December, 2013

When a person knows that he or she is about to die, values and priorities are subject to rapid change!! On that fateful day we simply refer to as "911", United Airlines Flight 93, was taken over by terrorists. Many (if not all the passengers) had a sense of impending doom. Some wrote notes to loved ones affirming their love and saying goodbye. Others were permitted to make phone calls on their mobile phones.

No one contacted their financial advisor. No one called to check the football scores. No one called their travel agent to book a cruise. When and if we are confronted with imminent death, that which we truly value comes to the fore in dramatic fashion.

Have a quick look at your diary for today. What does it tell you about what you value? Have you reserved time for your wife...your husband...your children?

    It's a thought.
