  • When God says, "You Must...." (Part 10)

    21 January, 2014

"When the time came, we set sail for Italy. (Acts 27:1). The problems are behind them. It is all plain sailing to Italy and Rome!  I don't think so!

As Paul is able to resume his journey to Rome, it occurs to me that all the obstacles thus far have been the product of human manoeuvring and manipulation. But now an obstacle of a different kind threatens to block his way and possibly take his life.

As a passenger on a boat bound for Italy Paul find himself, the crew and fellow passengers in a life-threatening situation with the very real possibility that none of them might survive the "killer" storm. And all this despite the Lord saying "You must testify on my behalf in Rome".

    Today's Thought:
Today you may be facing a storm of criticism as you seek to follow God's will for your life. It could be criticism from fellow believers in your local church. Other choir members. Youth group traumas. Tension among the Church leaders. It could be a "storm of silence" and tension in your home. Or your place of work.

Just keep in mind that Jesus knows how to deal with storms. And He knows how to deal with your storm.
